NCC-AHMP was founded in 1987 and incorporated in 1994. We are one of the largest professional organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area focused on environmental and hazardous material management issues. NCC-AHMP provides hazardous materials professionals and all environmental, health, safety and waste management professionals with educational, certification, training, and networking opportunities.

NCC- AHMP is dedicated to fostering professional development through providing continuing education opportunities, allowing peer group interaction, and providing a forum for exchange of ideas and information relating to hazardous materials management. We strive to provide quality-networking opportunities and provide value to our members. The Chapter’s mission is to provide a balanced program for its members in at least the following five areas:

  • Environmental Health and Safety
  • Regulatory Compliance and Policy
  • Science and Technology
  • Hazardous Materials Handling, Emergency Response and Remediation
  • Strategic Environmental Management

This mission will be fulfilled by:

  • Professional recognition for AHMPs.
  • Providing, promoting, and encouraging continuing education to achieve and maintain certification and to document Chapter-recognized related training.
  • Providing a forum for information exchange among peers to promote qualified environmental decision making.
  • Broadening the AHMP scope and understanding of prudent hazardous materials’ management, in the interest of protecting human health and the environment.
  • Increasing knowledge and experience related to new technologies, government regulations and community awareness relating to hazardous materials’ management.
